THE EVIDENCE

Seeing Dead People Not Known to Have Died: “Peak in Darien” Experiences - BRUCE GREYSON

The ubiquitous belief that, after death, our consciousness might persist
in some discarnate form is fueled in part by phenomena like near-death experiences
(NDEs) and deathbed visions, mystical experiences reported on the threshold of death.
Some NDEs, called “Peak in Darien” experiences, include visions of deceased people
who are not known at the time to be dead. Cases of this kind provide some of the most
persuasive evidence for the survival of consciousness after bodily death.

A Non-Believer Convinces Another Non-Believer of Life After Death (Posted 03/11/13)

"When he was alive in the flesh, George Pellew, an author, poet, and journalist, told Dr. Richard Hodgson, who was studying the mediumship of Leonora Piper, that he could not conceive of an afterlife but that if he died before Hodgson and found himself “still existing” he would attempt to let Hodgson know."

Extraordinary Mental States III: Body Consciousness and Out of Body Experiences - Dr. Jon Lieff (Posted 03/04/13)

"Lying down, almost asleep… wait… vibrations, tingling …. I’m…I’m separating …. lifting above my body …. floating above my body, …. looking down I see myself lying there …   Who am I? .. I know who I am and I can see my body …. but I’m not in the body….

Are these experiences “real” or brain pathology?  Could they be “merely dreams.”

Dr. Rupert Sheldrake at the Electric Universe Conference 2013 - Albuquerque, New Mexico (Posted 03/02/13)

"Many scientists like to think that science already understands the ways of the natural world. The fundamental questions are answered, leaving only the details to be filled in. The impressive achievements of science seemed to support this confident attitude. But recent research has revealed unexpected problems at the heart of physics, cosmology, biology, medicine and psychology."

Dr. Sheldrake is a biologist and author of more than 80 scientific papers and 10 books, including Science Set Free (September 2012).

Disbelief Despite the Evidence - Dr. David Fontana
IONS LIBRARY (Institute of Noetic Sciences)
(Posted 02/25/13)

"Why isn’t the evidence (as opposed simply to the belief) for survival of physical death more widely known and accepted in the West? In addition, why is the evidence treated by certain high-profile scientists as if it ranks with superstitions such as a belief in fairies or Santa Claus? The answer is that research into survival of death has to struggle against four influential groups that, for different reasons, find it challenges their own interests and beliefs and represents a threat to their status and authority."

How Near-Death Experiences Are Changing The World

"David Sunfellow explores the near-death experiences of Mellen-Thomas Benedict, Nanci Danison, Jim Macartney, Raymond Moody, and Anita Moorjani. Presents some of the NDE aftereffects that Dr. Jeffrey Long identifies in his book, "Evidence of the Afterlife". Includes a video clip of Raymond Moody describing his new research into "shared death experiences". And examines two, especially powerful NDE-take-aways that have the potential to change lives."

Strange Deathbed Mist & Light Explained

"In his recently-released book Glimpses of Eternity, Dr. Raymond Moody, (below) who is known primarily for his pioneering work in near-death experiences, explores the area of deathbed visions and shared-death experiences. In one chapter, Moody discusses a strange mist that is sometimes reported over a deathbed.  “They describe it in various ways,” he writes. “Some say that it looks like smoke, while others say it is as subtle as steam.  Sometimes it seems to have a human shape.  Whatever the case, it usually drifts upward and always disappears fairly quickly.” Michael Tymn
